Running Win 8 in a VM won't help, at least as far as blue tooth since you don't install drivers there, you use what ever the host provides.

I didn't know that, Thanks for the info, I was just trying to think of non destructive ways to physically try it and see if it worked.

I am staying with Win 7 thanx to your advice, all of you. Z - I thought youwere good with tweak reg back up. I use it. Should i switch to ERUNT?

I tried ERUNT just before messing with the registry as a quick and easy way to back it up. That's when I noticed it didn't work, so I installed Tweaking.com Registry Backup and will stay with it.

Mentioned it to Shane and he pointed me to a registry change that completely disables UAC. The GUI method does not do this. Once I applied the reg change, ERUNT works and all my other woes are gone so I'm happy again and staying with Windows 8 for the time being.

If I got Win 8 retail with new machine, I wonder if Tweak reg back up would work without a registry change.
