Hi, I was wondering if you could help me out with this problem of mine. I'm suspecting that my PC maybe infected with a virus that's connected with my yahoo mail account. I tried logging in for several times now and I still keep getting the message INVALID ID OR PASSWORD. I've tried their support chat but I was advised to email the US team but when I did the CAPTCHA isn't available so I couldn't send my email to the US team either. I've told this to the chat support and they didn't give me any useful advise at all. I'm posting hoping that you may have encountered something like this before and you could provide me with some answer. Thank you. I hope we could resolve this issue in one day 'cos I don't when I can have access to internet again.

This doesn't really sound like a virus, nor any kind of malware at all. Most likely your account and/or password is not what you think they are because you made a typing mistake when you created them, or you are making a typing mistake now and cannot get in. A common error that occurs to cause the latter, is when you have the keyboard CAPS LOCK enabled. To test that the problem is not the former, you can try to create a new account with what you think your username/password is. If you are successful in creating the account, then your username/password was not what you thought it was. Good Luck
Hi Sunyata! Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I believe that there's something wrong with my laptop. I think this because when I went to a computer shop, I had no probem logging in to my yahoo mail. I know my username and password that's why it's frustrating that I couldn't access my yahoo mail on my laptop. I tried it again just now and it's still the same problem. INVALID ID OR PASSWORD.
It may be then that your account has been stolen and your password changed. When you get the "INVALID ID OR PASSWORD" message,
Click the "I can't access my account" link.
Then select "my account may have been compromised" and click "Next"
Follow the directions and perform the tasks asked of you on the screens following.
You will most likely be given an opportunity to change your password if you can prove who it is you say you are to the system.
