Hello I can stop this from appearing but wonder if I need it. I have the desktop and laptop, with a printer. The printer is wireless. I know nothing about blue tooth except what Google tells me but don't know if it applies to my set up. Is it appropriate to just stop it from notifyig and leave the defaults on? Thank you Peter
I would need more info about your specific hardware and external devices (eg phones, printers etc) before I could say too much, but generally speaking you could probably get by fine by changing it to manual or some kind of user provoked starting kind of affair, but the biggest factors are the hardware involved (ALL hardware not just the PC, but anything that connects, or could connect to it), and how these would be affected by changing any settings, and the users own requirements. My bluetooth runs all the time, it auto connects to my phone and keeps it synced to my system, and an online source for max backup, which requires me to do nothing, that way I don't forget to do this, but for most people they probably would not need such a set up, but it's an example of why it may be best to leave alone, another reason to leave it alone is if it's required by the system to connect to the net or similar, if using Wi-Fi to connect, I recently saw a laptop that put the bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the same switch, so if you want to connect via Wi-Fi, you must also have the bluetooth on. Hopefully this explains a bit about this, and the need for much more info before I could offer a definitive answer, but with this info you should now be able to answer the question yourself, a fast way to check would to be stopping the bluetooth from doing this, if all works fine then you should be fine, if something does not do what you want then set it back to how it is now, there is a possible alternative choice though, maybe anyway, some devices have an option to turn off balloon notifications and the like, it would run as normal, but just not tell you every time something happens, but we need a lot more info to figure your best option, hope this helps a bit anyway.
I have no phone and when the boxes disabling bluetooth are disabled, as you sugested. all runs ok. Unless I have issues I will leave as is. Thank you for the helpfiul information. May I ask if you are in doityourself forum?
