Hi Rich
Something has gone horribly wrong I think. I downloaded the driver from the link and it worked briefly this morning but I have been without a connection all day. Windows system says the driver is working ok and the internet is ok as I checked with a housemate and theirs is working fine.
A file will open in Notepad. Please copy and paste the contents here. Close the Notepad window and the file will be deleted and the Command Prompt window will also close.
Next, you can try rolling back the drive to the previous level from Device Manager.
Click Start, type device manager and press Enter
Expand Network Adapters
Double click on the Wireless adapter
Click on the Driver tab
Click the Roll Back Driver button
See if that gets things working again.
If yes, repeat the ipconfig process above and post the info from both runs. I want to compare them.
I don't know what driver I installed, it didn't say what "bit" it was.
I tried a system restore but got a failed message saying that the restore point was damaged or corrupted. Tried an earlier restore point (30/07/2011) but got the same message
Hi Rich
Windows update reloaded the driver this morning and it seems to be working fine. I guess its the original driver so I will have the same upload download issue
Let me know if the YouTube video problem is still happening. If so I'll see if I can get a few other folks interested, hopefully they will have some ideas.
