I got the same virus today. The FakE MS removal tool. I found that the file was called "iHaLaNjPcAh06504.exe - (after the h thats a zero). I found you had to start in safe mode and i found that the virus loaded a file into your program data file. I've only got a c drive on my laptop, so i went into my computer and and typed Computer/Local Disk (C:)/Program Data/iHaLaNjPcAh06504.exe. I just type up to program data then just find file and detele it from there. I found two files inside the one file i think. Can't remember completely. I just then detele the file and did virus searchs from there. Haven't had a problem since. So fingers crossed this works for you guys. I hope this helps you guys.
Hi philo350, :welcome: Would you like to run a couple of scans and have me review the logs to see if I can find any residual signs of the infection?
Yeah sure thanks. I got rid of the virus kinda i think. But still feel my laptop going slow a bit. Also the virus kinda changed the my security settings so i didn't have full control over what got changed and such. But since have changed that back.

You have FrostWire, a P2P/file sharing programs installed on your computer. P2P applications like it are the largest source of malware we see. You'll be doing yourself a favor by removing it.

References for the risk of these programs can be found in these links:

I would recommend that you uninstall FrostWire, however that choice is up to you. If you choose to remove these programs, you can do so via Control Panel >> Add or Remove Programs.

If you wish to keep it, please do not use it until your computer is cleaned.
