Tech information

Not sure where I should post this, but I thought I would start here, and then you guys can move it to the best place. I have been reading these forums for a few months now with great interest, and I have learnt a lot since doing so. I thrive on knowledge and love to pass it on whenever I can. Now, I would really like to start to learn about the tech side of computers, starting with the basics and moving through at my own pace (lol, until recently I didnt even know that RAM was the memory ) I was wondering if anybody has any links to some good sites to get me started. It would be much appreciated. Thankyou in advance, and thankyou for all the information and help this site has already provided for me. Chrissy.

Hello Chrissy,

I think this is a good place to start:~ How Do Computers Work

It has some good links to explain the basic ground level components, and branches out as far as you can go.

This will help fill in all the gaps. It's why I have it bookmarked.

I also recommend reading our Tech Tips

Thankyou Jkc73 I have started to have a quick read of your link and it seems to be exactly the sort of information I am after. Will be reading more later, but as its now past 1.30am, Im thinking its time to shut down my own cpu and go to bed Regards Chrissy.
