hey all!
I have an issue to discuss. I refreshed the operating system for my Dell latitude D600 and when i did i tried to install all the drivers back.
Everything is working fine but i just noticed that when i try to play any video file, audio is coming but there is no Video.
So should i download the video drivers, but there are so many available on internet and i can not decide which one is right.
Can you please guide me to a proper location.
Thanks
BelarcAdvisor will take a full inventory of your machine's hardware and softeware, and give you a report that would be useful to save for future reference.
Save as: BelarcAdvisorReport(nameofcomputer).html – you can then consult it by opening it in any browser when you wish to review the machine's hardware or software. (or run a Fresh BelarcAdvisor after you make any software or hardware changes) It can be handy to print the BelarcAdvisorReport so that you have a record for reference in cases where the machine doesn't boot or you don't have the machine with you.

For your current interest, have a look in the category labeled: Display
The first item should be the Display Adapter (graphics card or onboard chip) for your machine.
Using that information, go to the manufactuer's website (manufacturer of the display adapter, or select from your Dell profile) to find the best Driver for your machine.
you haven't said what type of video your trying to watch, so it could be a problem with a number of things, i don't actually think it is a graphics driver necessarily.
it might be you need the correct video codecs or browser plugins installed.
Terry you are probably right!
@MobileMania – If your device manager shows
Display adapter - with no warnings, and "this device is functioning properly"
and
Sound, video and game controllers - with no warnings, and "this device is functioning properly"
Then what is left is most likely missing or wrong Codec files.
Thanks Terry
