My wife redid my laptop and she can't remember how she uninstalled the touchpad mouse. She said she had to download something somewhere. But it is absolutely driving me crazy. I have to "peck" when I type. This mouse is so sensitive. I went to Control panel, hardware and sound, clicked on mouse, went to hardware and tried to disable it but it won't let me click on it. Can someone pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee help me? Thanks alot. Sean
Hi

You're not giving us much to work from.

read here:

Particularly the first part…

Give as much specific information as possible.

* Details of your machine Brand-name and model, desktop or laptop, CPU, RAM, age of machine.
* Details of your Operating System (Windows Vista(version), XP (pro or home), Win2000, Win ME/98/95, Linux, dual boot)
* Details of the Application(s) running when the problem occurred: (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Office, online game, etc)

Various brands of laptops have differing features, including some that have hardware button-switches to turn on/off the touch pad.
Others have features in the control panel.

With some more information, one of our techs will probably be able to help.

Best Regards
Hi seanmichael, As Doug has said, you've not given us much to work on, however i'm more than happy to try and help. If your wife has uninstalled the touchpad drivers, it shouldn't be too difficult to fix. Can you give me the following info; what OS you're using? E.g Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7 ? And what the make and model of the laptop is? 'Bob

My lapytop is an Acer 5735-6694 It has Windows 7 on it. (my wife put it on there).

Thanks for your help.
Sean

If you download & install this: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Dr…&SC=EMEA_27

That's the touchpad driver for your model of laptop. It should do the trick. Once you've installed, you may need to restart your computer.

Let me know if you have trouble installing it, or after installing it.

EDIT: Is the touchpad still sensitive? Or is it working 100% ok?
