Hi this is the report from my Everest edition with all my PC specs. I need some help in trying to upgrade my computer, I am looking for more ram, but not sure what type of ram to use. If you know of a better way to give you a full detailed report on my PC specs, let me know how and ill post that. I am looking for professional help from the certified techs in this forum, if this is not the right area for this to be post please move it to the appropriate area in the forum!
I am not a very Tech savvy person as you can probably tell. How ever i do know how to build computers. I want to upgrade my computer though. If my motherboard is not that strong to utilize some of the later hard ware, then i will probably end up grading that as well. Anyways I ask for help in this. If you need any more information let me know! I am looking to upgrade my RAM, Graphics Card, and probably CPU, though CPU is not my most concern, i mostly want to update my video card. I was thinking bout upgrading it with a 256 GTS 512Mb graphics card but wasn't sure if my motherboard would be able to handle it. MY PSU is around 700 watts so im pretty sure its high enough for this hard ware. I always wanted to test my hard ware to see if there is any problems with it. For some unknown reason i have 4 gb of ram but only 3 are showing. I do not know whats causing this. Also video games some times run up to around 90% CPU, i have BSOD crashes very frequently and non responsive software not running correctly. I currently do have a professional looking into the Male ware/viruses on my machine so i am getting that taken care of but this is another thing i need to do. I am not sure if any of my hard ware is damage if it is, that would explain the problems i am having, in any case i really want to upgrade my computer so its more built for gaming and running high CPU programs such as adobe software.

Please complete your work in progress with RPMcMurphy.
Once you receive an "all clear" and final recommendations in your Infections Removal Topic Thread, we will be glad to assist further with other issues that may remain.
Until then, we will wait and we will not reply, since any recommendation we may make at this time could influence the successful application of tools and procedures in your active thread.
Hi doug. My maleware removable has been solved in that thread of the forums. I am now ready to work on updating drivers for all my hardware, testing ram or anything else that might have conflicting problems with my computer or windows.
Though i mentioned i want to build a computer, This topic is not really meant for that persay. Please go here for information related to building my computer. I also gave links toe the various components i wanted to check out for my build so you can take a look at that. computer http://forums.whatthetech.com/Building_Gam…ne_t109501.html
For this thread I am interested in fixing the drivers updates of this computer and testing certain hardware malfunctions if there is any. If i find any then i will for sure buy the necessary hardware parts to replace them. I am mostly concerned bout my BSOD crashes and not sure if this is an OS problem, or a hardware problem so thats why im asking for this help. I also have video buffering problems and games that i play some times crash on me. This can also be out of date drivers. is there an easy way to update all my drivers with out going to every website and manually doing it. i have finished removing the maleware but i happen to know this isn't a cause of my BSOD crashes, because i have had them for a while and highly doubt removing all the maleware will fix that problem. I have had BSOD crashes for the past year and i have reformatted many times in the process. So if you have any advice or tools that i can use to test or diagnose these problems, that would be helpful, thanks again!
And please also provide the full Error information from the BSOD that you experience.
(If you have your machine set to Auto Re- Start, you may not be able to read and write down all the info)
You can change the setting, and change it back after finishing in this problem-solving thread.
Auto Restart Turn Off
have you turned-off "automatically restart" ?
start—right-click "my computer". When the "system Properties" window opens, click the -advanced- tab, then in the "Startup and Recovery" section, click the -settings- button. When the "startup and Recovery" window opens,
UN-check the "automatically restart" box, then click [OK], [OK].
Reboot and “write down with paper and pencil the exact “full” error message you may be receiving if you experience a Blue Screen Error or Stop Message
Post the Error Message information into your next reply so that we can identify what next steps may be necessary
There are quite a few scanners in the Pcpit website. Would that be the "Free Test Drive" Link?
Hmm, Well i downloaded the install file and then ran the test on my computer. On the bottom right i clicked on "fix all" But then it came up with a subscription where i have to pay for the program to see the results.
I am not exactly sure what to do here for this scan or how to retrieve the test results so i can post them here, so can you kindly tell me step by step what to do, sorry!
I saw the PCPitstop Overdrive Full Tests beta ActiveX reference in your logs over in the Infections Removal Thread.
I shouldn't have assumed you were familiar with how to proceed.
Please Run the PCPitstop.com OverDrive Full Tests
Here's how:
You must use your Internet Explorer for this procedure. (doesn't work so well in Firefox or others)
Go to: http://www.pcpitstop.com
Click on "Free Computer Check-up" listed below PC Pitstop OverDrive
In the User Login - Click on "Sign up FREE!"
You'll need to submit a valid email address and create your own password, then click - Create Account(button)
Now enter your email address and password to Log in, Select - Scan this system Now!(button)
You will then be asked to download an ActiveX component and allow it to install.
It is safe and does not compromise your privacy.
Follow the on-screen prompts to install the ActiveX and to allow the Full Tests to be run on your machine.
The Full Tests take about 2 1/2 - 3 minutes on most machines.
When complete, a Results - Summary - Recommended Fixes will be displayed.
Please post the URL internet address from your Results, back here into this Topic Thread so that we can review the configuration and present performance levels of your machine.
Note: During the graphics 2D and graphics 3D testing, your screen will display some rapidly moving objects.
If you are sensitive to visual flashing, it may cause dizziness. Therefore, look away from the screen during that portion of the testing.
After reviewing the results we will be more informed and may be able to provide better recommendations for you to work towards improving your machine's performance.
I will give you a detailed report exactly bout what the BSOD screen says once it happens. I will try to do activities on my computer to provoke a BSOD crash so i can give you the error message. In the mean time you can check out those results and see if there is anything you can further assist me with.
Just wondering, are you still here? Have you tried diagnosing anything yet, or are you still waiting for me to give you the stop error message from my BSOD crash.
I just wanted to let you know that i got an error like this after opening up a folder. I am not sure what it means. I have not gotten a BSOD crash yet but i will report the error message the moment i get it.
