After my computer starts up, one of the error messages that comes up is: C:\WINDOWS\system32\VTTimer.exe The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS:0545 IP:017e OP:63 61 6c 6540 Choose "close" to terminate the application I also recieve the message: RTHDCPL.EXE-Application Error The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on 'ok' to terminate the application. Any ideas or suggestions how to fix either of these?

Sounds to me like you have picked up some kind of malware infection (Spyware probably). Go to the HijackThis™ Logs and Infections Removal forum, read the info there and follow the posted directions. Once you receive a clean bill of health, come back here if you have any additional questions or concerns or it turns out not to be a malware problem.
