Hey there.
My friend has an Acer 3660 series laptop with an Intel Celeron M Processor and 802.11 b/g. Now I'm not sure if that is any help but that's the only information he gave me.
He can't seem to find the driver for the wireless card.
He is just wondering if anyone here knows where to find this?
Thanks.
Hi,
Is your friend sure that the driver is missing corrupt?
Has he switched on wireless functionality (last switch on the front of the computer) to the right ?
Is Device Manager showing a yellow or red marker against the wireless network card?
The easiest way, if there is a driver problem is to update the wireless driver over the Internet, by using a cat 5 cable connection from the laptop to a router and then accessing Device Manager, finding the wireless network adapter card and updating the driver by right clicking on it and selecting update.
Alternatively contact the Acer website and download it from there.
The last resort is to use the inbuilt Acer Recovery back up to restore the system from yesterdays hard drive back up or whenever the last back up was made immediatley prior to the problem with the wireless driver, this is not to be confused with restoring the the factory settings that would defineitly be overkill!
