Java Problem

i try using limewire , but it keeps telling me i have a old version of java , so wen i try uploading it it tells me my java is damaged or sumtin , so i try removing it but it doesnt let me . how do i remove this java software.

Generally, all older versions should be uninstalled before installing the current.
