Problem from Java Update

I run Windows XP. I tried to download a regular update from Java. The update failed, and I got the error message 25099, unzipping core files failed. Following this, Java is not only disabled in my browser(even though it says java applets are enabled), but I can't find Java in either Add/Remove programs or on my control panel. Not a clue what to do about this. Help?

Sorry, your link didn't work. All I did was disable the yahoo toolbar, as it wasn't compatible with Firefox!

Do you mean when you say

that my Java links were not available? or none of them corrected your problem. If it was the former, all links are active for me here as I tested each one on both sites.
