hardware accelerator,video card

i need help with my hardware accelerator being enabled . message reads hardware accelerator is either disabled or not supported by your video card driver ,make sure you have the latest video card driver installed and that hardware accelerator is on. i was deleteing some things off my computer and i am afraid i messed something up. this message appears everytime i try to play the games that came with the machine, info on my computer is as follows operating system windows vista, platform intel core 2 duo processor, intel pentium duel processor , system memory duel channel sdram support , graphics mobile intel gl40/gm 45 power subsystem acpi 3.0 71 w 48oo mah 48.8 w 4400 mah , 3 pin 65 w ac adapter energy star 4.0 acer aspire 5730z/5730/5330 series
