NO DEVICES!?!?!?!?!

I have a HP Pavilion dv4000 with Windows XP Home Edition. I cannot connect to the internet via wireless or ethernet. I have reinstalled the drivers and that doesn't work, also when I open my device manager there are no devices listed, also my speakers on my laptop are not working. Help please.
