Hello, I wanted to say Thank you for this site. I have used it before and it helped me so much. Now today my daughter got on and opened an email and all of a sudden I had a icon on my desk top and task bar. It told me I had 38 trojans. It asked me for credit card information and I really thought it was windows. NOPE! It's a virus. I called Staples freaking and he said if I can't find it anywhere and I can't uninstall it it is a virus. Well it's just sitting there. I have run your Malware and I got 5 off my pc. It is running good now but the darn icon and page is still there but yet I can't find it. This thing is tells me I am beng spyed on and all kinds of trojans. It looks like a windows shield but gold and black strope. Can you help me please? Thank you so very much. God Bless Granny PS I THINK I MAY HAVE POSTED THIS IN A WRONG PLACE i WILL TRY HERE. IM SORRY

Welcome to the Whatthetech Malware Removal Forum,

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.<– Don't forget this
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy and Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a New Hijackthis log.
