[Closed] Common folder/helper.sig pop up

I'm new to this site and have what must be a common problem - the common folder pop up! I see that this has been covered in other posts, but that it has to be treated differently with each computer so I'm posting here in hopes of getting some help. No unusual sites were visited before this popped up, but we did have trouble with our printer (which we removed and reinstalled a few times) before having to buy a new one. The old was hp, the new is epson. I read that it's possible for an improper installation to cause a common folder to appear but I don't know if that's true. I have run a spybot program, installed and ran a lavasoft program and ran mcafee but none have picked this helper.sig up. Right now I'm currently running malwarebytes. The quick scan showed nothing so I'm running the full scan. I have no idea why none of these programs are finding it and removing it. If there's someone here who could help, I'd really really appreciate it! I just don't know if it's a virus and if so, how dangerous it is to my computer. Thanks!!!
