EVERYTHING on my computer is SO SMALL! Plz help

After a hard drive replacement, everything on my computer is so small…The icons, the fonts, internet explorer buttons, even pop-up boxes, such as the display properties box…its a tad smaller. My screen resolution has always been 1680 * 1050, and now its also that. However everything has become so small! So its nothing to do with resolution. Also, I tried going to display properties and clicking "use larger icons", all that does is make the icons on desktop big, but does nothing to font size in the internet and so the like… I also tried going to display properties and changing the font size from "normal" to "larger", it only made the font uglier and larger…i don't want that! I want it to become normal, plz help me

could you post a screenshot? the first thing that comes to mind is resolution, but you have mentioned that it's nothing to do with it, so i don't know so far.

Try reducing the screen resolution, see if it makes a difference. How big is your display? At 1680 x 1050, it must be huge!
