HP Compaq nc6000 running windows xp pro
Completed state and federal tax returns online and when entering card info for filing fee, a window pops up which says "Advance Card Identifier" and asks for my card information, including card number, exp. date, security code, and PIN NUMBER. Another window comes up which says "The webpage you are viewing is trying to close this window. Do you want to close it now? Yes or No". Then everything freezes up. No matter what I click on, it's froze. Can't close anything, can't take a screenshot, can't open task manager. Have to shutdown from power switch and restart. Ran SuperAntispyware Pro, Spybot, Spyware Doctor, and Uniblue Power Suite but still get the 'Advance Card ID' window.
Contacted TaxAct and the advance card ID is not part of their system (have been using TaxAct for 6 years without any problems or requests for security code and pin number).
After running spyware/malware programs and attempting to pay filing fees 8 times and still getting the advance card ID window, I attempted to order a pizza to see if it still came up, and yes it did.
Help me Obiwan……. you're my only hope!
