Hi,
Your log is clean

Please do the following cleanup procedures next:

Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the following location(s) and delete the folder(s) listed in bold (if present):

C:\Program Files\DAP <– FOLDER
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Viewpoint <– FOLDER

Next, we will remove the tools that we have used:
  • Delete RSIT.exe from your desktop and its folder C:\rsit
  • Delete DirLook.exe and its text file (C:\DirLook.txt)

Remove Combofix
  • Click Start > Run
  • In the Run box, type Combofix /u then click Ok. Refer to the picture below:
    [external image: Posted Image]
  • Note the space between the X and the /u, it needs to be there.

Cleanup with OTMoveIt
  • Please double-click OTMoveIt3.exe to run it
  • Click the Cleanup! button
  • Click YES at the prompt. Click Yes to reboot.

Finally, here are some recommendations for you:

  • : Windows Updates :
Keep your operating system fully updated to protect your system from any security threats. Malware writers often exploit vulnerabilities in unpatched systems. If you do not have your system set to receive security & critical updates automatically, I encourage you to visit Microsoft Updates on a regular basis to check for any recommended updates for your OS and IE. To view your Windows Update policy, simply RIGHT-click on My Computer > Properties > Select the "Automatic Updates" tab.

  • : Antivirus :
Be sure to keep your antivirus installed and updated. Without updates, your antivirus will not be able to protect your system from new threats.

  • : Additional Protection Software :
There are a number of free programs available that are designed to help you protect your system from malware. You already have Malwarebytes' Anti-malware and WinPatrol which are both good choices. Note: Always check for updates before running scans. If the program has an option to auto-check for updates, enable it. You should also consider:

    • SpywareBlaster - A tutorial on using SpywareBlaster may be found here
  • : Consider using a HOSTS file :
A Hosts file will prevent your computer from any known malware and spyware sites by redirecting the connection request to 127.0.0.1, which is your local address. You may download the MVPS Hosts File by clicking >> HERE <<. A tutorial is also available as well as tips and links to other resources.

  • : Make your Internet Explorer more secure :
    1. In Internet Explorer, click on the Tools menu > Options
    2. Click on the Security tab
    3. Click the Internet icon so that it becomes highlighted
    4. Click on Default Level and click OK
    5. Click on the Custom Level button

Change the "Download signed Active X controls" to Prompt
Change the "Download unsigned ActiveX controls" to Disable
Change the "Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe" to Disable
Change the "Installation of desktop items" to Prompt
Change the "Launching programs and files in an IFRAME" to Prompt
Change the "Navigate sub-frames across different domains" to Prompt

When these settings have been made, click on Ok button.

    6. Press the Apply button and then the Ok to exit the Internet Properties page

Please read Tony Klein's article – So how did I get infected in the first place?.
Another article you should read through is How to prevent Malware.

Thanks for providing all of the information I have asked you for.

If you continue to have this issue, please post in the Browsers, Internet, Email forum on WTT for troubleshooting with a link to this thread for reference.

If you have any other questions or issues please let me know in your next reply. Otherwise, please reply back that you've read this so this thread can be closed.

Happy Holidays,
revel
I finished the cleaning steps. My computer isn't quite running at optimum performance, but I am pretty sure that when it got struck by lightning and I had to replace the power supply that it could have messed up something else too. My network card hasn't worked since the lightning, so I use wireless and I am pretty sure I am gonna need a new processor one day, so I might just revamp the entire thing, but it should still be good for doing basic internet browsing, wordprocesing, and things like that. Thank you again for all of your help, happy holidays, and have a wonderful day. Thank you, Lucius.
You're welcome.

You can try removing some unnecessary startups using HijackThis.
Refer to the links I have provided next to each line for more information.
  • Open HijackThis and Do a system scan only
  • Place a check to the left of these entries:

You can still access these programs using your Start > All Programs menu or desktop shortcuts

These are ActiveX installers downloaded by your browser and can be cleared out:

  • Close all open windows and browsers - except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.
  • Note: If you are prompted by WinPatrol about changes to your startup, allow the changes.
  • Close HijackThis

Also, if you haven't run a defrag in a while, you might want to try that as well: Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter

You may want to consult our Networking Forum for help with the network card.
