I have a Toshiba laptop running Windows Vista Premium SP1, and when pressing any key starts up Internet Explorer. I have ran antivirus and malware software but nothing is found. I installed Firefox and the same thing happens when pressing any key only now Firefox starts instead of IE. When typing in any application any letter typed will start the browser, it opens a new window for each letter typed.
Hello there troberts, There's a big chance that the keyboard is busted. I would phone Toshiba and ask them if they can either send a replacement keyboard or send a mechanic to help you replace it. Regards, Olrik
Do all the keys "feel" right - any sticky ones or keys that do not have full travel? Before calling Toshiba, I would attach an external keyboard to the notebook and see if you have control there.
