Java won't work & no sucess fixing it

I downloaded FireFox and Java is working fine with it, but I would still like to fix the problem in IE and/or make sure everything is okay with his computer. Here's the new reading I got with FF at StillListener:

I forgot to add earlier that the System Restore was and is turned on, but will not work, tried several restore points.

Dell Dimension 2400 desktop
OS: Windows XP home edition
Browser: IE7

The Java on my hub's computer suddenly stopped working a couple of days ago and I can't seem to fix it. The following is what I have tried:

Cleared cookies, temp files, objects, java files
Uninstalled and reinstalled Java severl times
Made sure Windows was up to date and updated from IE6 to 7

Ran the following scans:
AVG anti-virus
CW Shredder
Ad-aware
2-squared Anti-Malware
Malwarebytes
Spybot
Also followed all directions from Geeks To Go's Malware cleaning guide

I don't know if the following means anything, but it might be clue to what is going on to someone who knows more about computers than I do:

1) A few days before the Java stopped working, he got AntivirusXP 2008 on his computer (I used Malwarebytes to remove it)

2) While trying to fix the Java, I found something called gpcgoaaa.exe in the startup list, but a google search didn't turn anything up.

3) When I go to java, I am directed to the downloads for apple products (see #4)

4) The java info tab at Pogo shows the following:
Java 1.6.0_07 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
Windows XP 5.1 (x86)
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; de-de)
AppleWebKit/522.11.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0.3

a check at StillListener shows:

(Not sure what those things mean, but they look odd to me. Does it mesh with what he actually has that I listed up top?)
