Hi,
was working on my hp laptop last night when suddenly it just died, total power failure. The ac adapter is fine, but get no response from the computer when i plug it in.
computer will not turn on now.no lights , nothing.
any ides????

Sorry to hear of your computer failure. More information would be acceptable. Make, how old, HD capacity, maintenance program, firewall, antivirus etc. I see you are running Windows XP, is it home or pro?
Do you have the OS CD? If you have, have you tried booting from it?
Please post back with the above details and tell us what you were doing when it failed and if you installed any new hardware or software recently.
