Oh help. :pullhair: I can access the internet, but cannot interact with any websites. For instance, I can access gmail.com, and send and receive gmails. But I cannot post an ad to Craigslist...the signal times out and I get the generic "this page cannot be displayed" error message. I can cut and past my hjt log into this window, but cannot send it to what the tech.. same error message. So it seems that any time I'm adding info to a page and trying to send it I get stuck. (I'm not using my computer now - at my mom's house on her system) I have verizon fios, and their tech support guys say that they don't know what the problem is. They've been useless. Here's some history: A little over a week ago I downloaded antivirus 2008 rogue software onto my Dell laptop. I couldn't get rid of it...went to you guys, and your wonderful tech Novitiate had me cleaned up and operating perfectly in no time. Novitiate reviewed hjt, mbam and combo fix logs. (all of which I still have on the computer) Also I have avg ....all scans from all sides came up clean. And the processing speed on the computer was totally fine for a few days, then wham....internet interactive abilitly stopped. All software programs are still operating fine. Prior logs from all this are on my earlier post. The scans are still coming up clean... but clearly something's wrong. And once I'm home and sitting in front of my computer, I'll be able to read your response, but not necessarily able to talk back to you! Aaaarrrgh. Can anyone tell me if this is a verizon server problem, or if there is a lingering or second level problem with my operating system? I did a system restore to July 8th but it didn't help. Hope someone there can... Lander
