Hello, last night my computer was 'attacked' by Malware. Since than, Trojan virus(es) have been ransacking the computer. My computer is a Gateway Windows XP (home edition). "It displays a blue wallpaper on the desktop that says: Warning: System Infected with Spyware, Install antivirus or spyware remover to clean computer. The ScreenSaver is also corrupted that shows little bugs crawling on the screen. When I go to Display thorugh Control Panel the Screen Saver and Desktop Tabs are missing… .."- copied from yort05, but the same exact things happened to me. A company called Malwarepatrol Pro did install a malware protecter thing, and they did ask me to buy their product (I said no). I am only 17 years old, and this is the family computer … so I'll do anything and everything that you all suggest to get this computer back up and running normally.

A company called Malwarepatrol Pro did install a malware protecter thing, and they did ask me to buy their product (I said no)

this is part of the 'game'– rouge anti-malware apps only want your money, there software is worthless

SmitFraud is now being used to term [3] infections wherein users receive fake alerts from software luring the user into installing some affiliated Fake / Rogue AntiSpyware with or without user's knowledge.

post the malwarebytes log and a new hjt log please.
