My notebook (WinXP Pro, Hewlett Packard NX9600 P4/3.0 512MB 80GB) is much slower than it was 4 months ago. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's what I've done…

Download/Install/Configure/Run SPYBOT (found/cleaned cookies)
Download/Install/Configure/Run AD-AWARE (found/cleaned a few malware programs and more cookies)

Note 1: A program called "ShoppingReports" is still in "Add/Remove" programs.
Note 2: I've already ordered more memory (2GB).
Note 3: Windows Automatic Updates is on and it's up-to-date.
Note 4: SpyBot lists "Microsoft.WindowsSecurityCenter_disabled". I haven't fixed this yet.
Note 5: My antivirus software is enabled and up-to-date.
