Thought I'd give you guys a chance to run over this before I declare it as the inevitable aging process for computers, even though we've only had it a year this month, bought off the shelf at Office Depot (it was cheap, after all):

For the past few months (since July I'd say), our computer has been getting significantly slower for no apparent reason; lately it has been stopping altogether, forcing me to restart. I keep memory usage lean, deleting/uninstalling whatever we don't need, using all native utilities (disk cleanup, scandisk, defrag) and various free cleaners (EasyCleaner, CCleaner, Ad-Aware & ATF); our browser empties Temp Folders automatically, except cookies (I occasionally delete those myself). I've done the whole anti-spyware works–AVG Anti-Spyware, SpybotS&D & SpywareBlaster. I've had only two major malwares/infestations since May '06 (Winfixer & Virtumondo), which were dealt with swiftly and have not showed up since. Nothing new, not even games, have been added since June, and we have plenty of space left on our 90 GB hard drive (we use less than a third of that at any given time).

If you see anything suspicious, let me know; if not, let me know anyway, maybe point me someplace I can learn to speed it up (I've looked at several already, maybe you have a favorite).
