Someone on your site saved me from spyware maybe 2 years ago, Spyware Axe or some such.
My current problem is very slow speed. I'm on BellSouth DSL. The problem has been coming on for a couple of weeks. When I click an icon, and my speakers are on, I don't hear a click for as much as four seconds. Then the connection takes quite a while, as does the loading of the screen to the point where I can scroll, etc.
It took fifteen seconds for this screen to open up after I clicked on "New Topic."
Another thing I noticed: I thought a defragmentation might help things. When I
opened that utility, it appeared that my hard drive was about full!! In the past I'd only been using less than 10% of the drive. So, it appears that I may have installed programs unknowingly, or that perhaps older software versions (Itunes, etc.) have not been overwritten, or some such phenomenon. I didn't think I had all that much on the computer, really.
I've posted a log. I'd really appreciate some direction. Last time I had trouble, I started by following the instructions in someone else's thread. Things improved but weren't fully resolved until I posted my own log.

I suppose it may be time for a new computer, as well. Thoughts on that would be great too!
