When I installed AVG, I uninstalled McAfee using Add/Remove Programs, but I didn't know about the removal tool. I just downloaded it and ran it, and it said it was successful. I have no clue about Zone Alarm. I have never installed it, and I don't see any evidence of it in Add/Remove Programs or in Program Files. Before I installed Comodo, I was using Windows Firewall, and it is now disabled.

SSDT \??\C:\WINDOWS\system32\vsdatant.sys (TrueVector Device Driver/Zone Labs LLC)

It's been there at some time or another. Have a look for this file

C:\WINDOWS\system32\vsdatant.sys

and delete it.

There is no malware for sure, so we have to look at something else, perhaps Comodo?

Try disabling that, and make sure the Windows firewall is ON then come into this forum for a while. If you lose connection again, it must be something else. Perhaps a camera driver? It is obviously something that doesnt load up in Safe Mode, and it will be trial and error until you find the culprit.
It cant be AVG because you installed that after your troubles began.

Also, take a look around the other forum you posted in. The tech helpers usually ask you to run a test at pcpitstop. There will be directions in a few topics.

I cant help you further because
A ) Im moving house tommorrow and will be offline indefenitly
B ) This is beyond my meagre knowledge.

Oh aye, you can remove whatever tools I had you run.
Thanks for all your help, Scotty! :notworthy: I've certainly learned a lot while chasing this gremlin! I think PC Pitstop is a great idea, and I'll be sure give that a try. I don't plan to post any more in this thread, so feel free to close it. Good luck with your house move, and thanks again for everything!
