Help! Issues with computer slowdown, norton will not finish scans

Hey everyone, I am having some major issues. I am not very computer saavy but....have not had any major issues in a long time. Few things to get started, I updated my norton antivirus and added systemworks and confidential. At about the same time my windows automatic updates would not update. I have tried all of my tools/tricks (spybot, adaware, superantispyware etc...) but none of them are working. I've been trying to get help on another forum but they are not getting back to me so i figures i'd give yours a shot. My norton is scanning but stopping and will not finish the scan so...i'm lost! I tried to download panda but it would not load into my computer so i deleted it. any help or suggestions would be so appreciated....my computer is going so slow and i'm hoping to look for a new job so it's really slowing me down... PLEASE HELP ME :)
