Heylos to you all. I'm new to the site but have been checking it out nonstop since i put in a HJT post in the malware forum. I saw the post for applying in the classroom but wanted to get a little information about joining. Are there any recommendations or restrictions on what knowledge is required to join? It's something i would be interested in since help is short (unfortunately) and i have time during the day that i could utilize for something constructive. Thanks again for any information i could be given or redirected to. Site looks awesome!
If for any reason you have difficulty in applying then contact me here in this thread and I'll do my best to put you in touch.
No special knowlege of malware removal is needed before joing the classroom as the trainng is comprehensive and extensive and can be undertaken at your own pace. It would be fair to say however that you should be prepared to spend some time each week on your training assignments as the amount of knowledge required to be assimilated is quite large. However no previous experience is required other than a committment to follow the training that will be allocated by your assigned teacher. Its great that you have some time available during the day and this would be ideal.
It is a great thing to be able to effectively analyse an HJT log, determine the undesirable elements that may be present on the system and provide detailed and understandable advice and instructions on how to clean the machine. I wish you all good luck and hope that, if you decide to join the Classroom, you will enjoy the process and go on to be able to provide effective assistance to folks with infected computers.

thanks for the info, paws. I'll take a look at it for sure. LDTate has been a HUGE help so far in trying to figure out what's going on with my computer problems. You all seem to have a pretty good crew here from what i've read in other forum topics.
