Does anyone else get a Windows Security Center full-page pop up (which looks like it's generated from the computer's security system)? I tracked them down in an effort to get them to leave me alone (dream on) and a "fellow" named Pierre gave me instructions for downloading a de-installation program. They do not automatically uninscribe. It doesn't seem a good idea to download a program from a company that already has somewhat unscrupulous practices into my computer… I never subscribed to this "service" and am continually (every few minutes while online) interrupted by a double pop-up: the first one,on deletion, forward to another one, which is actually deletable. But they are a nuisance as each time I have to get rid of it. Tough on concentration.
I am worse than a novice when it comes to computers. I use it for research and e-mail, so I'm a babe in the woods. Plus, I'm in France, trying to handle everything bilingually which has often been nightmarish. Any suggestions from anyone feeling really helpful today? Thanks very much.
ps I filed a complaint with www.ftc.gov , whether or not that'll make a difference… 4fEDERAL tRADE cOMMISSION°
