I have somewhat of a computer idiot for a friend. While I may not be the most advanced user in the world, I know what to avoid and what is decent to put into the computer. Anyways, our schedules had conflicted for a few months and I never got over there to keep the thing running smoothly and NAV/Internet Security and Ad-Aware did not catch everything. Seeing if you feel anything malicious needs removal from the HJT log of the following (IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED!):

Welcome to the Forums.

The fixes we will use are specific to your problems and should only be used for this issue on this machine.

Please only use this topic to reply to. Do not start another thread.
If any other issues arise let me know.
The process is not instant. Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine is clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear. So lets do this to the end!

  • All hijackthis logs I ask for should be done in normal mode ( not safe mode)
  • These logs should be done last after you have followed my instructions in the previous post.

Please if you decide to seek help at another forum let us know. There is a shortage of helpers and tying 2 of us up is a waste of time.
If you have any questions about any advice given here please STOP and ask!

If your friend would like to take over I'm sure I can talk him/her through most things we need to do.
This will save time on both parties.

REMOVE 1 ANTI VIRUS

You now have 2 anti Virus programs running. AVG6 and Nortons . This is a bad idea as in they will conflict with each other and fight for resources and just provide you with much less protection.
I highly recommend you remove one now. Which is up to you.
Keep one that you have a paid subscription too.

_____________________________

Now please Download LSPFix from http://www.cexx.org/LSPFix.exe and Run the Program.
Disconnect from the Internet and close all Internet Explorer Windows.
Check the "I know what I'm doing" Button and place all listings of

pfftsp.dll

into the remove section by clicking on the button that points to the right. When all instances of this dll are in the Remove section. Press the finish button.

RUN HJT

HJT
