Hello my friends,

I finally found someone to help me after three years. Anyway, I need someone to look over this log. I am told that I should just take my computer in and have someone clean out all the junk I have accumulated through the internet. I really don't want to spend all that money on getting all this stuff off here. Ya know, kids and a mortgage to pay. So the computer is on the end of my list. Anyway, I would be grateful for any help. Thanks a bunch, James

Welcome to the forum :wavey:

Please click here to download the PeperFix tool, save it to your desktop, doubleclick on it, click 'Find and Fix' and reboot if prompted.

Next:

1. Download and run: LSPFix.exe
2. Check 'I know what I'm doing'.
3. Select 'osmim.dll'.
4. Click the right-pointing arrow.
5. Click 'Finished'.
6. Restart your computer.

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):
(Note: Not all may appear now because of the other tools used)

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Delete all of the following noted (in red) file(s)/FOLDER(s) you can find:

c:\windows\system32\ihqpyf.exe <— file

c:\windows\system32\qyos9v1z.exe <— file

Some malware files may be "hidden".
Be sure to show hidden files when looking for these file(s) and/or folder(s).

Reboot in normal mode and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis! log file into this thread. :)
In advance, thank you for helping me. :wavey: God Bless You. Ok, I used the peperfix tool and it did not find anything. While in safe mode I only found the ihqpyf.exe file, deleted it and anything in my recycle bin. I could not find a qyos9v1z.exe. Is this a bad thing?

Anyway, I restarted in normal mode and a box popped up about the system configuration utility.

It said, "You have used system configuration utility to make changes to the way windows starts. System configuration is currently in diagnostic or selective start up mode causing this message to be displayed and the utility to run every time windows starts. Choose the normal startup mode on the general tab to start windows normally and undo the changes you made using the system configuration utility. "

There was a box you could check that said, "Don't show this message or launch the system config. Utility when windows starts."

I didn't check it, I closed the box and then the system utility window popped up and I pressed cancel. I was unsure of what to do from that point so I just left it alone. What do you think?

Here is my log.

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {6685509E-B47B-4f47-8E16-9A5F3A62F683} - file://C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker\Sy350\Tp350\scri350a.htm (file missing) (HKCU)

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Reboot.

That should do it.

This is why you got the message at startup:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfig] C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe /auto

You have things disabled via MSConfig.

Either re-enable them, or check the box that says "Don't show this message or launch the system config. Utility when windows starts." Then it will go away.
