Hi there.. Newbie here but thought I would give you all a go with my little problem..

I logged onto my computer a few days ago and noticed that most of the icons were gone from the system tray (by the clock on the screen bottom right).

Then I noticed that IE7 took forever and a day to load.. once loaded you could surf the net at normal speed. However, if you opened a new tab or a new window.. same load time problem at initial startup. I don't think it is the webpage that is taking so long to load but the IE7 program itself. It loads like there is a shortage of ram to run the program. Which isn't the problem because I have max ram in my Dell.

I did all the easy stuff.. uninstall IE7 and tried IE6 but it was the same issue. Reinstalled IE7 and set all the internet options back to default…. remove internet files, cookies ect.. regular spyware scans.. very religious about updating Symantic virus protection and routine drive scans.. nothing helps. All other programs seem to be running fine….
