I am hoping to get some help.

About three days ago my machine was infected with an ad program that hijacked my browser. The machine became infected with about 40 different trojans and other malware programs. I have recently regained some control over the pc with the help of AVG. However there is still one trojan I cant seem to get rid of Generic9.AQNO. The infected file the AVG finds is rkphufpb.dll. However once it removes the file it is recreated automaticaly. Which causes AVG to just continually report it and delete over and over again. There were refferences in the registry to the dll in question. I have removed all refferences in the registry to the dll and none exist now.

I tried to download the hijackThis program to run a scan and get a log but it keeps asking me to choose a program to open it with, and I am unable to get it installed for whatever reason. I am running WinXP. I have ran AVG, Adaware, and trendmicro.

can anyone assist me.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I got the HihackThis program to install. I had to change the name to the setup file to add the extesion .exe not sure why I had to do this. When I rebooted the machine I recieved an error (before I installed hijack and ran the scan)

Rundll - error loading c:\windows\system32\aoxwxoiy.dll

The log after the scan is below.

Thanks in advance for any help

I rechecked the registry and all entries that I deleted refering to the dll have been recreated. I am assuming there is an executable that needs to be deleted I just cant seem to determine what it is. The two that jumped out at me on the report were carpserv.exe and atizevxx.exe but I believe those are both legitimate after doing some research.

I really could use some help guys, just let me know if I need to post more information.

Thanks,
Jeremy
