This page shows what transpired to resolve my first issue which was spyware infection: http://forums.whatth...a....html&st=30

After completing all of the instructions in the above resolved issue, I noticed that I had a duplicate ebay shortcut in my tray.
Turns out it was not ebay, it was my flickr shortcut, but wearing the ebay logo.
Then I noticed when opening my yahoo mail page, the ebay logo was in front of the yahoo address.
I opened up tools, deleted all files except my passwords and then reopened IE 7.
The correct logo now appears for each address I go to including my yahoo mail
However, the flickr shortcut still had ebay logo on it, so I deleted the shortcut and went to flickr, and made another shortcut...
It still wears the ebay logo! I tried as a test making a shortcut for whatthetech, and it wears the proper logo,
Any ideas why this one shortcut insists on wearing the ebay logo?

I deleted the ebay shortcut, and then tried to create one for flickr, and still it comes out with the ebay logo, very strange.

Well, now it went back to the proper logo

I hate it when things fix themselves, it always makes me suspicious
