Forgive me, I'm not super tech-savvy so I hope I can include all the right info here. We're having some kind of spyware/malware/virus invasion! Running Windows XP on a Dell. We have CA Security Center and winpatrol/scotty. Some of the security alerts/warnings I'm getting:

–A change has been detected to your start page (and background display on desktop)
–File Type Change Alert: Run DLL as an App
–Security Warning! worm.win32.netsky detected
–Prompt to install PCSecureSystem–even when I close it or click no it takes me to a web page.

I'm clicking close or no on everything because I'm not even sure what's legit anymore!

Also CA keeps popping up with a Virus Infection Alert, but I can't do anything except close it. All the infections are in a temp folder, here are their names: win32/Malum.WAL (Quarantined), win32/Pripecs.Y (Deleted–on there twice), win32/Pripecs.W (deleted), win32/Malum.WAL (quarantined).

And here is a copy of the hijackthis log:

This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. It will create a file named:
c:\rapport.txt

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Please post:
