Im currently at university, and the internet is great, its fast speed and decent pings, however every 30-40 mins or so ill get disconnected randomly (for about 10 seconds or so) then it will come back up. Now this doesnt seem like a problem, but as a gamer this can become extremely frustrating, kicked from games/comms and having to reconnect. I was wondering if theres any settings i can setup clientside to fix this issue? or anything you know of that that might be causing this (assuming it isnt their server thats causing it) . ive rang them up and they seem sure its my PC with the problem, but im not sure. Any advice would be great, thanks :)
hi markspec87, since you mention you are at a university you might check with your IT dept. They "own" the network and you could be bouncing through any firewall/proxy that they have setup. could be a cause. shelf life
