Ok I know you ppl are real busy, but this is gonna be long-winded, sorry ;-(
A couple of months ago, AOL and it's Mighty Virus Protection (gak), let a virus slip in. How do I know this? Cause they flagged me with a bright red window, stating the fact! (smacking myself in the head).
As a result, I had to uninstall and reinstall my music editing program, and delete a couple of others.
NOW...
I have a little MP3 portable player (Song NW-E002F), which came with software, enabling you to rip music to a library of sorts, and enable you to install music on the chip. It also came w internet accessible store for buying music, which I only used a couple of times. Most of the music on the chip is from personal files and CD's, converted to MP3 w my CoolEdit proggie. ANYWAYYYY..... it was functioning fine, until the virus came along.
Now I can't open the program to access the chip-specific library. So I thought, I'll just uninstall and reinstall.
IT WON'T LET ME UNINSTALL. I jumped through hoops trying to get it to go, but no luck.
The message I get when attempting to open the proggie is: "Omgjbox.exe has encountered a problem and must close" etc etc. When I attempt to uninstall the proggie, the error message is "Setup.exe has encountered a problem" etc...... arrrrrggggg.........
I would really LOVE to be able to use the MP3 player again, but because it creats ODA and DAT files, I can't reverse it.... can't pull the stuff outta the chip and put them back in the computer. Again, aaarrrggg...... PLUS there's no way to convert the files to WAV.
I really hope I'm not posting a problem that has nothing to do with what you guys do, and if it is please don't sue me, I don't make that kind of money....
Here's my HiJack Log Post
