[Resolved] IMB00005.exe

Good Afternoon.

I started getting this imb file missing at reboot and thought while watching football I would search to see how to get rid of it. For the first time I downloaded Hijackthis and checked the log. I saw where the ibm file is and removed it and it works great now.

But do you think anything else should be removed from the log.

Please check over the log and let me know.

Yes, remove the registry entry that was loading it using HJT.

Run HijackThis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on this:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=explorer.exe "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders\ibm00005.exe"

Then close all windows except this one and press Fix checked.

Reboot and post a new HJT log. Let me know how it's running.

Actually after a second look this ActiveX is malicious. Have HJT fix it. Everything else is Okay. How's it run?
