On boot I get the message that this cannot be found. I had gotten a warning of virus found by AVG and it deleted the entry. After running Hijack this, here is the logfile. I think its the F2 entry but wanted to confirm.
My folder - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders\ contains ibm00001.dll but not the exe. The avg warning was for ibm00002

Thanks!

Hello jrjr, welcome to the TC.

I suggest you do this:

use add/remove programs and remove Viewpoint Manager

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=explorer.exe "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders\ibm00001.exe"

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
I had already checked F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=explorer.exe "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders\ibm00001.exe" That seemed to fix the trouble. No more message at boot. IT was trying to run a program that was no longer there. I did as you said though and uninstalled viewpoint manager. When doing a system scan with HJT, it is no longer an entry. What exactly is viewpoint manager? There is also a program called Viewpoint Media Player installed on my machine. What is this? Should I uninstall that as well? Thanks for the response btw :)

IT sounds pretty benign to me but I will remove it anyway.

I don't like "Stuff" getting installed on my PC unless I have a choice to install or not. Besides that, how many Media Players do you need?

Great job

You're more then welcome.
