I would like to attempt to calculate a RWIN(TCP Receive Window) http://www.dslreport.../tweaks/5._RWIN using the information from such pinging.
Also, is it safe to use the Java Tweak Tool? http://www.dslreports.com/tweak

most any website will return a ping reply. the java applet at dslreports is safe to use. trying to max out your connection? some reference material you might want to read: the first link provides the best information.
