ok so it appears on 070707 while I was on vacation…my computer had something happen and now we can't open anything. Can't access DOS through cmd etc. Looking around…dll files are fine but all executeables are shadowed.
What can I do to find the fiend that is there?
If you are able to "look around" in your file structure enough to see that file.dll's look OK, but that files.exe are greyed out, then not "all" .exe's are failing to function.
Give us an expanded view of what specifically is not functioning.
For instance, are you able to access the internet with your Browser?
For instance, are you able to boot into SAFE Mode?
With that/those bit(s) of additional information, we may be able to suggest a pathway to begin resolving this problem.
