Can anyone help me!
Recently my PC has been running slower and taking longer to boot up.
Earlier today, I received an error message relating to the Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library:
The error message reads:
Debug Assertion Failed!
Program: C:\hp\drivers\hplsbwatcher\lsburnwatcher.exe
File: C:\program files\microsoft visual studio.net 2003\vc7\atlmfc\include\atlfile.h
Line: 188
Expression: m_h!=0
For information on how your program can cause an assretion failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts.
(Press Retry to debug the application)
When you select Retry the window closes but the problem persists.
Symptoms include slow response and sound problems at present.
Can someone please help with this problem?

Hi,
Sorry to hear of the problem with the error codes on your machine.
It seems that your probably have HP peripherals/equipment installed, including a lightscribe enabled burning application.
If this is so then an uninstall/reinstall is indicated.
The first step would be to go visit the HP Website, download a completely fresh set of all your HP drivers and any update patches, and HP uninstall tool (if available) and last but not least the HP installation instructions for the peripherals or components you need to reinstall. Save them some where safe and accessible and print out the instructions (you will not be able to access them whilst installing so the print out is essential).
Next shut down your machine completely wait 30 seconds and restart, disconnect from the Internet, shut down any running applications including Anti virus, Firewall, anti spyware and any real time protection that you may be running (its important that all windows are closed and you have no applications running …DONT forget to put all your protections, AV Firewall back when you have done!) now run the HP uninstall tool (if available).
Check in Add and Remove Progs via Control panel and also in Device Manager that all HP stuff has been totally uninstalled.
Reboot and now empty all your cache, do a disk clean up, temp files etc and follow the HP installation directions exactly… if you miss a step or get some thing slightly wrong the installation may fail so be sure you proceed methodically and that your back up/archive of all your important data, files, settings, etc is 100%, copied to external media, and fully reproducible.
Good luck
