When I use any search and some web sites with links on it It takes me to another web site not the one in the link. I used AVG anti spyware it shows this trojan.dnschanger.in but won't remove it. I did a search for trojan.DNSChanger and here I am. Here is the log also.

Thanks Phil

Hi and welcome to the forums. :) I'm Markka and I will be helping you with your malware issues. I check your HijackThis log. Right now I'm MRU Undergrad, everything that I post to you must be checked by teachers of Malware Removal University. Please be patient. :)
Hello :D

We need to disable your Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.

Open Windows Defender.
Click on Tools, General Settings.
Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.

After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You don't have a firewall on your computer. Here are free and good firewalls: (Install only one)
Comodo
OutPost
Kerio
Sygate
ZoneAlarm
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, then make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish. The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

At the end of the fix, you may need to restart your computer again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Open HijackThis, Click Do a system scan only, checkmark these and press fix checked:
Thank You very much for the help, phil
Hello, you did very good job :)
Kaspersky online scanner works only with IE!
Please run an online scanner with Kaspersky Online Scanner. You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then start to download the latest definition files.
  • Once the scanner is installed and the definitions downloaded, click Next.
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make sure that the following are selected:
    o Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    + Extended (If available otherwise Standard)
    o Scan Options:
    + Scan Archives
    + Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan select My Computer
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run. Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
  • Now click on the Save as Text button
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.
Re-run with fixwareout!
