Well, here is the HJT log from my comp and the file that keeps coming up is C:\WINDOWS\system32\lpt1

Please download the Gromozon Removal Tool from here:

Gromozon Removal Tool

Save it where you can find it.

DO NOT RUN IT YET.

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Please run the Gromozon Removal Tool, and follow the prompts.

Boot normally.

Post a new HijackThis! log into this thread, and describe how the PC is behaving at the moment.

This is what Tootkit Removal found. : Scanning Windows Directory… C:\WINDOWS\3.tmp is infected with Adware LinkOptimizer C:\WINDOWS\bcxmx1.del is infected with Adware LinkOptimizer Searching for EFS service files… Trojan.Gromozon Removed! Scan finished normally For a detailed log, please refer to \gromozon_removal.log

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {9704AD32-65B2-0C13-C407-3D69B8E28E73} - (no file)

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Reboot.

Any alerts for "Trojan.Linkoptimizer" any longer?
