my main issue is MusicMatch Jukebox, i am a paid subscriber and havent been able to run the program for some time. I have uninstalled/reinstalled but the streaming audio/video does not seem to be working, i wonder if a virus or spyware has corrupted a file so it cannot uninstall all the way…please help if you can! btw, i have posted my hjt logs on the other forum, and my log is now clean, so please dont send me that route. I have also checked my firewall and it seems to allow it…
I'm not a user of MMJ, so am operating a little bit in the dark here. Sorry.
MMJ may require, or work better with, Adobe FlashPlayer and Shockware.
If you already have those utilities installed, consider uninstalling them via Add/Remove and then installing the most recent versions of each. (There are also specific "uninstall utilities" you can download and run from the associated websites.
You are running Windows XP and have Java Runtime Environment series 5 version build 9. (series 5 is generally appropriate to Win98/WinME and not for use with Windows XP)
That version has been updated, but there is another series that may be more appropriate for your operating system:
Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove and uninstall "all" versions of J2SE/JSRE/J2RE/Java plugins, that may currently be on your machine.
Download the current version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6, here:
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
CheckMark "Accept" the License Agreement
Download: Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language jre-6-windows-i586.exe 12.56 MB
Close any/all Browser windows and Run/Install JRE 6.
Reboot your machine.
Please keep us posted with your progess.
Best Regards
