hi im currently havin an issue wit my screen resolution…from time 2 time i have to change the resoltuion 2 run arcsoft showbiz, but when i close out of showbiz, The Screen just goes totally black sometimes and being that i cant see anything im forced to restart,using the power button on machine.but im sure thats not good 4 my pc and or hardware b/c its a quick shutdown.also for time to time when i restart my pc, or turn it on in general, it never loads, the screen is just black, causing me again to restart.im confused and lost, but i have important info on my pc and i dont wanna corrupt or damage it, so if anyone has an advice or a logic explanation i would highly appreciate it.thanks in advance.
p.s the system is windows xp, the screen make is an hp pavilion v50

I have a similar issue with my system, except the screen goes black when my computer comes back from hibernation. I have yet to take the time to look at it, but I think it might be in need of a better power supply or else it could be drivers.
Since all computers are not created equally, yours may be a completely different animal. Could you please tell me how long this has been happening? Have you made any recent hardware/software changes on your system?
