I downloaded a nasty hidden virus that I believe is called something like "vxgame8.exe" I ran it and my Avast! along with Windows firewall went crazy. My desktop turned black and I knew I was in trouble. Fortunately I was able to still maintain an internet connection. After some googling, I followed instructions from this page and after a whole day of work, I'm able to produce a HJT log to submit for your assistance. I do noticed that the computer is running faster and doesn't seem to be acting "strange" anymore. But I do wanted to make sure that I did eliminated all the nasty viruses/malwares that were on my machine. Please take a look and tell me if there is anything else i should do to further recify the matter. I thank you in advance for your help and I appreciate it very much!

Also, I noticed that when I booted into Safe Mode, I see that there is an "administration" account besides myself. This is strange since noone uses this computer but me and I have never set up any account on it but my own. I'm affraid that my machine has been hijacked and any passwords I was typing while visiting websites were recorded??? Is it possible that some hacker inplanted a malware into my computer and record or control my machine without me knowing at all? Please explain after looking at the HJT log. Thanks again for your assistance!

Hello and Welcome to the forum.

Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.

Looks like you are running 2 anti-virus programs. That can cause all types of problems.

I suggest you do this:

1.Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2.Next, open Add/Remove Programs and remove either Avast4 or Symantec.

If you decide to remove Symantec AntiVirus, follow the below instructions.

In order to completely uninstall Symantec AntiVirus and all related components you need to follow these instructions.
Note: This procedure will remove all Symantec products, not just Symantec AntiVirus.

1.Click on Start | Settings | Control Panel
2.In the control panel double-click on Add / Remove Programs
3.Look through the list of installed programs for any item that says either "Norton" or "Symantec" or "LiveUpdate". (for example "Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition" or "Norton AntiVirus 2000")
4.For each "Norton", "Symantec", or "LiveUpdate" item, select the item and click Add / Remove. Follow the instructions, and click Yes or Yes to all when prompted.
When you are done there should be no items in the list that say "Norton", "Symantec", or "LiveUpdate".
5.Click OK to close the Add / Remove Programs window.
6.Reboot your computer if it hasn't already automatically rebooted.
7.Delete the c:\Program Files\Symantec AntiVirus (or c:\Program Files\Norton) folder.
8.Delete the c:\Program Files\Symantec folder.
9.Delete the c:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared folder.

If uninstalling Symantec AntiVirus using Add / Remove Programs does not work, you can use the directions on this Symantec website to manually remove all elements of Symantec Antivirus from your computer.

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
